Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in Australia is recruiting for an Employee Relations Consultant to join the Employee and Labour Relations team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. This role is a parental leave backfill position.

This role will be responsible for providing employee relations support to employees and other key stakeholder groups. The Employee Relations Consultant will partner closely with HR business partners on all employee related issues and serves as a subject matter expert on employee relations matters across Australia and New Zealand.

The right candidate will have demonstrated experience in end-to-end management of complex employee relations matters, including grievance and misconduct investigations, and performance management. Previous experience in interpreting and advising on employment/labour laws is preferable.

What you'll do .

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

Advising and managing employee relations cases, including in relation to disciplinary matters, performance management and grievances
Reviewing and updating employee relations policies to ensure compliance and alignment with legislative changes
Drafting and reviewing employment documentation
Manage workplace investigations for a range of matters
Supporting employee and labour relations project work including in relation to risk management, compliance, and process improvement
Qualifications

ITS ALL ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you will have already gained extensive experience in a similar capacity. You demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within our matrix business locally, and regionally/globally. You have a demonstrable history of developing strong business partnerships and successful collaboration. Further requirements include:

Relevant qualifications in Industrial Relations, Law, Commerce
A track record of experience in HR or Employee Relations experience within Australia and/or New Zealand
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment and labour laws
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to undertake self-directed research and work autonomously
Previous experience in employee relations in a common law jurisdiction is desirable
Experience or understanding of the NZ employee relations framework would be highly beneficial
Full-time (38 hours per week)
