About the roleRegional Director – Asia & Pacific
Location: Preferably based in a key regional hub (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney)
Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) or Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Contract Type: Full-time – hybrid
Travel Requirement: High
The Regional Director – Asia & Pacific will lead the growth strategy in the region, combining both commercial and operational responsibilities. This role involves driving new business development and strategic partnerships, overseeing technology implementations, and optimizing the performance of existing operations. Additionally, the Regional Director will manage and inspire the local team, ensuring commercial targets, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Main ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & Expansion
- Define and execute the growth plan in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Develop new business opportunities with airlines, technology partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close strategic commercial agreements to strengthen the company's market presence.
Operational Oversight & Implementations
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of technology implementation projects, ensuring compliance with standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor the performance of existing clients and design improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with product, technology, and support teams to ensure successful client experiences.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and motivate the regional team by setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative culture.
- Coordinate with other regions to share best practices and ensure strategic alignment.
A seasoned entrepreneur leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in senior commercial, operations, or business development roles within the aviation, travel, or travel-tech industries and proven track record in market expansion and strategic account management. Experience managing multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic vision with strong execution capabilities in dynamic environments.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and high-level influencing skills.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on revenue, adoption, and customer satisfaction KPIs.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in English; additional regional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
