We are seeking a nurturing and engaging nanny to assist a professional family in Buderim, Sunshine Coast. The family has two girls, though the care is mostly for the youngest child (ages 1 and 4 years).

An ideal nanny will be warm, caring, and nurturing. A nanny that is bubbly, energetic, active, and confident is happy to engage, play, and have fun.

The nanny will be a gentle and responsive carer and is comfortable with following the children's routines, needs, and interests. A nanny with a genuine love of children who can dedicate their time to them both and enhance their learning and development on a daily basis is preferred.

The family is looking for a nanny who adapts well, is responsible, patient, safe, reliable, and able to commit to the role on a long-term basis while being highly invested in building a lovely relationship with the whole family.

The eldest child attends preschool but will be home during school holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Care for the children
  • Provide age-appropriate activities (plan, engage, play)
  • Cook/prep meals and snacks for the children and evening family meal prep/cooking occasionally
  • Assist with light household duties - Keeping the main areas of the house tidy, kitchen tidy, dishwasher packed/unpacked, tidying of toys at the end of the day

Contract: Long Term / Permanent Role

Days and Hours: 1 day – 9 hours per week (Friday 7.30/8am – 4.30pm)

Expectations:
  • 3+ years experience as a nanny or in childcare
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Current Blue Card
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Fit, healthy, and active
  • Up to date with all vaccinations
  • Full driver's license and clean driving record
