A professional and loving family in South Yarra, VIC are seeking a proactive and experienced nanny to care for their four children aged 9, 6, 4, and 2 years.

The family is seeking a nanny who is high energy, organised, motivated, and positive. Someone who is nurturing and calm, and who genuinely enjoys engaging and having fun with children.

A nanny who can structure the day, follow the children's routines, be proactive, and help keep the household running smoothly. Skilled in multitasking and keeping up with the busy mornings and afternoons.

Someone who has strong personal values, is trustworthy, reliable, consistent, who will stay on a long-term basis and form a special bond with the whole family.

Experience caring for multiple children of different ages at once is essential for this role.

The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows:

  • To care for the children
  • Follow the children's routines
  • Drop off/pick up children from school
  • Play and engage with the children
  • Take the children to after school activities
  • Light household duties – tidying of children's toys and clothing
  • Help prepare and cook nutritious meals for the children
  • Assist with homework
  • Run errands and grocery shop (occasionally)

Contract length: 6 months initially with the potential to extend long term

Pay: From $40 – $45 per hour depending on experience

The days and normal hours are:

5 days per week

Monday – Friday 6am – 9am and 2.30pm – 8pm

Saturday 7.30am – 12.30pm

Flexible days/hours for the right candidate.

The family are open to having two nannies to share the hours over the week.

The family's expectations from their nanny are:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years nanny or childcare experience
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Working with Children Check
  • Experience with ADHD valued, not essential
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English (also open to a nanny who speaks French or Spanish though not essential)
  • Confident to prepare and cook healthy nutritious meals
  • Confident swimmer
  • Full driver's licence and clean driving record (to have own car with mileage to be reimbursed)
