Role Overview

This is a hands-on engineering role providing BAU support across a complex hybrid environment. With a focus on operational continuity during project secondments, you'll maintain, optimise, and secure infrastructure across both cloud and on-prem platforms. You'll collaborate with internal SMEs, vendors, and project teams to ensure stability and performance.

What they are looking for

You are a seasoned infrastructure engineer with experience supporting enterprise hybrid environments. You have strong technical knowledge across Windows Server, Azure, M365, Citrix, NetApp, and VMware platforms, and can step into a high-responsibility role with minimal ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver support for infrastructure platforms across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Perform maintenance, patching, monitoring, and performance tuning
  • Manage incidents and requests to SLA
  • Support minor enhancement and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Document systems and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure
  • Commvault Backup Solutions
  • Cisco UCS, NetApp Storage, VMware vSphere
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Understanding of ITIL-based support processes
  • Background in operationally critical environments (e.g. transport, utilities, government) highly regarded
