The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and help deliver scalable, secure, and reliable IT solutions for clients in corporate, telecommunications, and government sectors. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, implementing cutting-edge solutions that enable business growth.

You'll work with modern infrastructure technologies, from cloud platforms to enterprise networking, while ensuring all technical activities align with our quality management system and maintain the high standards of service delivery that our clients expect.

What You'll Be Doing

System Implementation and Management

·       Design and implement tailored infrastructure solutions for corporate clients

·       Deploy and manage cloud solutions across hybrid environments

·       Execute system upgrades and maintenance with minimal service disruption

·       Maintain comprehensive system documentation

Server Infrastructure Management

·       Configure and manage virtualisation platforms (VMware, Proxmox, KVM)

·       Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions (including Veeam)

·       Design storage solutions spanning SAN to cloud architectures

·       Optimise system performance and execute capacity management

·       Monitor system health and perform proactive maintenance

Windows and/or Linux System Administration

·       Deploy and manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory

·       Configure Microsoft Azure cloud services and hybrid connectivity

·       Implement Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)

·       Configure and manage RHEL-based systems and derivatives

·       Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting in Windows/Linux environments

·       Execute system updates and maintain security protocols across platforms

·       Provide Windows/Linux support to clients and internal teams

Customer Service and Support

·       Provide technical consultation and maintain strong client relationships

·       Communicate effectively across all business levels

·       Coordinate with vendors and resolve service incidents

·       Document solutions and provide regular status updates

·       Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive support

What You'll Bring

Essential Requirements

·       Proven experience in systems implementation and infrastructure design

·       Strong technical background with server, networking, and storage technologies

·       Experience with virtualisation platforms

·       Solid understanding of Windows and/or Linux systems

·       Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning

·       Understanding of security principles and best practices

·       Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking

·       Excellent communication and documentation skills

·       Willingness to travel for client site visits across Australia and Pacific region

Highly Desirable

·       Experience with cloud platforms

·       Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies

·       Exposure to telecommunications or service provider environments

·       Experience in customer-facing technical roles

·       Understanding of ITIL principles and quality management systems
