Ampersand have partnered with a leading professional services firm to recruit a Business Development & Marketing Adviser to join their collaborative and high-impact team in Melbourne.

Supporting the Dispute Resolution practice group, you'll work closely with industry-leading Partners and senior business development leaders to deliver on strategic client initiatives, key pursuits, and cross-practice opportunities. This is an exceptional opportunity to build your profile internally and take on meaningful, hands-on work within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

This role offers true variety, visibility and mentoring from some of the best in the business. You'll be:

• Supporting Partners and BD Managers to identify, pursue, and convert business development opportunities
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders on client relationship strategies and campaigns
• Assisting with market research, competitor analysis, and industry insights
• Drafting and coordinating tenders, proposals, and bids
• Contributing to legal directory and award submissions
• Participating in firm-wide BD and marketing projects
• Building strong relationships across practice groups and support functions

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you are motivated, organised, and enjoy working with senior stakeholders. Ideally, you'll bring:

• 2–3+ years' experience in a BD, marketing, or client-facing role within professional services (legal sector preferred but not essential)
• A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, law, or a related discipline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
• Strong relationship-building skills and stakeholder confidence
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of CRM systems
