Senior People and Culture Business Partner

Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.

SRL is more than a rail project. It's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to plan for and prepare our city and state to meet the needs of future Victorians, and we can't do it alone. We are on the lookout for people with drive, expertise, fresh ideas and new perspectives to deliver Victoria's biggest ever infrastructure project. You act as a strategic coach and consultant to executives and leaders, equipping them with the insights and tools they need to inspire and empower their teams. Your ability to balance data driven decisions with innovative HR solutions ensures SRLA remains agile, competitive and future-ready.

Are you this person we are looking for?

The Senior People and Culture Business Partner at SRLA is a pivotal position that combines expertise in people and culture partnering, workforce management and capability planning, and change management. This role focuses on developing and implementing innovative workforce change strategies and engagement programs, leading the transformation and continuous improvement of people's practices in alignment with SRLA's strategic objectives.

You will function as both a coach and a consultant, employing a data-driven approach to address current and future organisational challenges. You will be expected to provide strategic advice and coaching to key stakeholders, maintain a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, and develop HR processes and policies. Your role is crucial in empowering organisational leaders to effectively manage their teams, while you provide necessary guidance and risk mitigation.

The ability to create, innovate, and work at a pace within the People & Culture team is a must. We are on a journey as a team, and a business, as we build and transform as the project progresses. We need collaborative team players who can work across, and with, a People and Culture team centres of excellence and expertise capabilities.

In this role, you will develop and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an intermediary and navigating the complex organisational landscape. Your ability to build consensus, negotiate, and manage expectations will be key to supporting P&C interventions.
