Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the southern half of NSW. The Allied Health Department Head is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, leading the delivery of quality dietetics services to patients/clients of the SNSW Local Health District to meet health and wellbeing needs.
Selection Criteria- Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia (DA).
- Demonstrated highly proficient written, verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively, lead a multidisciplinary team, and take leadership in clinical and operational decision making.
- Ability to prioritise and organise dietetics caseloads across a small regional team.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and leading implementation of evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated experience in participating in clinical research and knowledge of the research process.
- Demonstrated high-level problem solving and project management skills.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to drive/travel as required (may involve long distances).
