As a Team Leader, you will oversee our portfolio of services throughout Echuca and the surrounding areas and work to develop your portfolio. You will serve as the dedicated educational leader for these services, providing guidance and mentoring to the Coordinators. You will have the freedom to introduce your own ideas. The focus will be on leading and mentoring the sites through on-the-ground training and being actively present on site to support the teams. As the region grows, there is potential to advance into an Area Manager position.

We are seeking someone with experience in this role or a similar position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the teams in ratio between 8-9 am and 2:45-5 pm, with admin and compliance tasks during the middle of the day.
  • Partnering with our schools.
  • Leading coordinator planning sessions, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Maintaining staff records and supporting ongoing professional development.
  • Supporting inclusion support claims.
  • Conducting well-being meetings with coordinators to support children and families.
  • Focusing on child safety and compliance.
  • Leading weekly team meetings.
  • Performing educational leadership tasks as outlined by ACECQA.
  • Reporting incidents, compliance, and safety concerns directly to the Operations Manager.
  • Being the first point of contact for day-to-day team support.

Job Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in a childcare setting, ideally in OSHC.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulation requirements, with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of the assessment and rating process and how to support it.
  • Ability to build relationships and mentor staff.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • High standard of communication skills.
  • Growth mindset and positive attitude.
