Adviser - Cyber Risk and Advisory

Adviser – Cyber Risk & Advisory to join Rio Tinto's Cyber Security function. This role contributes to Rio Tinto's cyber security posture through leading cyber security risk assessments and the provision of pragmatic cyber security guidance for identified risques and controls.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Risk & Advisory, you will work in a collaborative, global Cyber Security team and be responsible for providing cyber security risk advice and guidance in a practical business context to enable continued innovation and support of Rio Tinto's digital mining future. This role provides security risk management across a broad range of technologies, from legacy systems to state-of-the-art industrial automation solutions.

• Providing effective and pragmatic specialist cyber security guidance for IT and Operational Technology projects, with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conducting cyber security risk assessments of new and existing technologies to identify risks and appropriate controls which balance security and operability.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships to support the broader organisation in adopting Group Standards, Procedures and Guidelines related to cyber security.
• Contributing to internal processes and initiatives within Cyber Risk and Advisory, and delivery of the Cyber Security strategy.
• Supporting the execution of targeted annual risk reviews of key functions, technologies and systems within the Rio Tinto landscape.

• Practical experience in a cyber security-based role, preferably in a large organisation or asset-intensive industry.
• Experience identifying and understanding cyber security risk, preferably in IT and OT contexts.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a range of audiences, including non-technical and senior stakeholders.
• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• Familiarity with cyber security industry frameworks used for identifying and managing risk (e.g., NIST, ISO, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build credibility and collaboration.
