Following internal promotions, we're currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join us at our Premier Foods site in Tamworth. Due to business growth, you'll be ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the management accounts, whilst developing strong business relationships with operational and commercial teams through involvement in performance reporting.

This is a full-time, permanent role working on site, Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00.

We're offering a salary of £28,000 per annum, along with 33 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Collate weekly financial and statistical reports for customers and site management
  • Monitor controls related to debt ledger and creditors ledger
  • Prepare full balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled monthly with risks and opportunities clearly identified
  • Build effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Previous finance office experience and a desire to learn
