About the role

Are you a compliance champion who thrives on navigating complexity, solving problems, and making regulatory frameworks that work for the business? We're looking for a Compliance Manager with proven experience in superannuation compliance and an eagerness to apply their expertise across our trading environment.

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Compliance, and as part of a team, the right person for this role will be passionate about providing compliance advisory, monitoring and reporting services to the business as well as investigating and reporting on superannuation and trading incidents in accordance with the regulatory requirements of ASIC and APRA.

Requirements

• At least three years experience working within the superannuation industry in a compliance role (previous experience working in compliance within a trading environment will also be considered favourably);
• Understanding and knowledge of the Corporations Act, Privacy Act, SIS Act and Regulations;
• Understanding and knowledge of the following ASIC Regulatory Guides (RGs): RG 274; RG 271; RG 78; RG 234; and RG 104;
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures as they apply to our superannuation and trading product offerings;
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills;
• A collaborative mindset with the confidence to own your work and escalate challenges when needed;
• The capability to develop and write analytical reports;
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; and
• High-energy for performance in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll help shape and maintain the integrity of our compliance culture while ensuring we remain sharp, responsive, and always ready to meet our regulatory obligations. Supporting the Head of Risk & Compliance, your key responsibilities include:

• Providing compliance advisory, monitoring and training services (design & facilitation) to the business on superannuation and trading matters in accordance with regulatory guidance;
• Working with our key third parties to ensure compliance with superannuation regulations and to respond to periodic questionnaires and attestations as well as to update superannuation disclosure documents as required;
• Investigating and assessing superannuation and trading incidents and breaches and ensuring Reportable Situations are reported to ASIC in a timely manner under RG 78;
• Liaison with the Customer Support and Customer Resolutions Teams to ensure complaints are appropriately investigated and responded to in compliance with ASIC RG 271;
• Updating Superhero's compliance frameworks, policies and procedures as required and at least annually in accordance with the Compliance Calendar;
• Providing monitoring and guidance across the financial adviser framework;
• Responding to regulatory queries, surveys and Notices from ASIC, APRA and Superhero's Market Participant or Execution & Clearing Provider as required;
• Using Superhero's Risk and Compliance System, work with the team and across the business to identify superannuation and trading compliance risks and to support the business in designing appropriate controls to be added to the Risk Register;
• Creating and drafting periodic compliance reporting for Senior Management, the Risk & Compliance Committee and the Board as required; and
• Working with the Financial Crime Compliance Officer to assist with AML and CTF matters as required (a base knowledge of AML/CTF compliance will be favourably considered).
