About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) provides a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. The Population Health Division addresses primary and secondary disease prevention through Health Promotion, HIV and related programs, and Multicultural Health. Our work is delivered through individual service delivery, promoting programs and capacity building for priority populations on priority issues.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of key strategic and operational initiatives across NBMLHD Centre for Population Health.
  • Drive strategic collaboration and build high‑impact partnerships with Population Health, Public Health, and other services to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Work with multiple diverse stakeholders to develop strategic plans and operational activities that advance population health objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse data to inform decision making and communicate insights clearly.
What you will bring to the role
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, planning, social science or equivalent and demonstrated relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to problem solve, innovate, negotiate and influence.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining high‑level, strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning skills with experience in developing strategic plans with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate data clearly to inform decision making.
  • High‑level understanding of population and public health approaches in a local context and knowledge of health policy frameworks at state and national levels.
  • Experience in project and change management.
  • Valid unrestricted drivers' license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel for employment.
