Job Description

As the Agile Delivery Director, this role is responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of transformative end-to-end Agile client engagements.

You will lead program and portfolio-level processes and execution, with a focus on continuous improvement and optimising team productivity. You will manage globally distributed teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and meaningful business outcomes. This role requires strong leadership in driving change, building consensus, and communicating effectively across all levels of the organisation

Responsibilities
  • Lead Agile delivery across multi-program environments, aligning delivery methods to product landscapes and driving high-quality outcomes for clients across public and private sectors.
  • Navigate complex government frameworks, including procurement, compliance, governance, and risk management, ensuring alignment with Australian public sector standards.
  • Guide digital transformation initiatives, partnering with clients to shape customer-centric strategies, estimate value-based budgets, and deliver measurable outcomes through agile, engineering, and innovation practices.
  • Foster inclusive, high-performing teams, promoting autonomy, continuous improvement, and a culture of value-based delivery focused on early and frequent customer impact.
  • Support commercial and engagement success, contributing to proposal development, account planning, and tracking key metrics such as burn rate, margins, and client outcomes.
  • Champion Agile capability building, mentoring team members, sharing best practices, and contributing to the growth of the Agile community within the organisation.
Qualifications
  • Experience with a distributed delivery model, leading diverse teams, and collaborating in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment

  • IT experience in leading high performing teams in Agile/Scrum/SAFe constructs in consulting environment

  • Strategic and forward-thinking with a deep understanding of and thought leadership in technology, project-delivery, and one or more industry verticals

  • Demonstrated experience navigating a large organisation, showcasing the ability to influence with storytelling and data

  • Comfortable presenting to C-level executives as well as senior business and technology leaders

  • Knowledge of client context and client engagement guidelines including organizational sensitivities to consistently look for new solutions

  • Demonstrated ability in defining, evolving and executing Agile maturity assessments; deep exposure to various frameworks on engineering/agile maturity frameworks

  • Knowledge of best practices in design thinking/user-centered design (e.g., user research, hypothesis-driven development, prototyping, and usability testing)
