Overview

Our client is seeking a Civil Leader to play a key role in the management and growth of our civils Team. This senior position combines technical expertise with leadership, business development, and client relationship management.

Working closely with the Director, you will take responsibility for the organisation, delivery, and management of projects while also shaping the direction of the team. This is an opportunity to step into a role where your influence extends beyond engineering outcomes — you'll contribute to strategy, operations, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director in the overall management, operations, and growth of the business.
  • Lead the organisation and delivery of projects, ensuring professional, timely, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Act as a professional signatory for engineering certifications where required.
  • Prepare fee proposals and drive business development opportunities beyond existing client networks.
  • Mentor, guide, and manage staff to achieve project and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and professional networks.
  • Report monthly to the Director on operational activities, project performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or eligibility, preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management and team leadership capability.
  • Background in business development, client management, and fee proposal preparation.
