VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf. We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

About the opportunity

We're seeking a proactive, creative and motivated Social Media & Content Specialist, with solid corporate experience, to bring VicRoads social media strategy to life and help grow its impact. Working in a dynamic team under the direction of the Email and Content Manager, key responsibilities include:

  • developing, implementing/executing, and optimising engaging content for VicRoads Registration and Licensing and Custom Plates social media channels
  • owning community management—actively monitoring and responding to audience interactions, comments and messages to build strong online engagement and brand trust, and monitoring for issues
  • researching social media activities, identifying trends and emerging issues and working with the business to develop strategies to communicate and mitigate
  • reporting on social media behaviour and key metrics

Other responsibilities include social content development, creation of design assets and supporting and building eDMs and blog posts.

About you

We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience

  • developing, implementing and evaluating digital and social media strategies and campaigns that adhere to VicRoads brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • self-starter with strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills, creative skills and the ability to craft compelling copy for social media and digital platforms—adapting tone, style and messaging to suit different audiences and platforms
  • ability to provide sound advice to key stakeholders on digital engagement best practice and customer sentiment
  • experience using social media management tools, building social media reports and using online analytics tools
  • ability to use data to optimise social content, blog and EDM marketing
  • capability to identify opportunities for the use of new social media channels, tools and techniques
