Overview

Wholesome Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in a Casual Role. We are a fast-growing company with support services offered throughout the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Greater Brisbane Regions and a capacity-building Centre located in Caboolture. This role involves providing personalised care and assistance to individuals with disabilities to help them live independently and participate actively in their communities.

What you'll be doing
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Facilitating and participating in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote client wellbeing.
  • Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring they receive the support and services they need.
  • Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborating with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support services to deliver coordinated care.
  • Providing overnight/sleepover support on a weekly basis, as required.
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
What we're looking for
  • Capacity for overnight/sleepover and weekend shifts on a weekly basis (required).
  • A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field (highly desirable).
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability on a recurring basis to take on set shifts each week, with flexible hours to suit each support worker's capacity and the participants' needs.
  • A current Drivers Licence, own reliable vehicle and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid & CPR.
