Relationships Officer (Referral Partnerships)

Location: Melbourne-based

Type: Part-time (4 days) Hybrid

Organisation: Work First – Centre for Disability Employment Research and Practice (CDERP)

About the Role

As our new Relationships Officer, you will play a vital role in connecting people with disabilities to meaningful, psychologically informed employment supports. Your main focus will be building and maintaining referral partnerships with Plan Managers and Support Coordinators. You will be the trusted point of contact for these professionals, supporting the smooth onboarding of participants and ensuring our services are well understood and appropriately accessed.

Success in this role looks like:

• Strong, consistent referral pipelines (set monthly KPI's)
• Clear communication with referrers and families
• Accurate onboarding that reflects our values of long-term, person-centred employment support
• This role sits within the Management team and reports to the Director

Responsibilities

• Establish, grow, and maintain referral relationships with Plan Managers and Support Coordinators
• Communicate Work First's service scope clearly and professionally
• Support new clients and families to understand service agreements and onboarding processes
• Liaise with administration to ensure contracts and scheduling are correctly established
• Provide timely, accurate updates to key stakeholders regarding NDIS and program changes
• Maintain a Weekly Work Plan via Microsoft Teams
• Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of service during periods of staff change
• Uphold confidentiality and professional conduct across all interactions

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of the NDIS, particularly Core and Capacity Building funding
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
• Tech confident – able to use Microsoft Teams, email, shared files, and client management systems
• Previous experience of 3+ years in disability, allied health, employment, or NDIS-related roles is highly regarded
• Police Check and Working with Children Check required
