Overview

Safran Nacelles, part of Safran's Industrial Division, seeks a VIE Eradication Support Engineer to join the Burnley site in the United Kingdom. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team identifying and solving quality issues within manufacturing processes, with a focus on Quality Notifications (QN) eradication for the A330neo and C919 Thrust Reverser products. The role involves working with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Quality to break the link between delivered volumes and quality issues, and implementing process improvements by updating work instructions, tooling and material inputs. It may include Engineering Change submissions to the Design Department. The objective is to significantly reduce manufacturing quality failures by gathering and analyzing data to identify root causes and implement viable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and solve quality issues within manufacturing processes related to QN eradication for A330neo and C919 Thrust Reverser products.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Quality to eradicate Quality Notifications.
  • Gather and statistically analyze data on components, assemblies, tooling and manufacturing methods to support robust root-cause decisions.
  • Define and implement process improvements via modification of work instructions, tooling and material inputs.
  • Submit Engineering Changes to the Design Department as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master\'s degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Experience with CATIA; comfortable navigating industrial processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort with technical challenges.
  • Fluent English.
  • Knowledge of carbon composite materials is a plus.
