Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Your primary focus will be on configuring products according to requirements and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also work closely with Engineering and R&D to ensure new products are designed for manufacturing and suitable for factory production.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Acting as liaison between Product Engineering, R&D, and Operations
  • Learning processes, tools, systems used by Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing
  • Documenting critical manufacturing processes
  • Implementing LEAN manufacturing principles to improve shopfloor productivity
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
  • AS1100 knowledge essential
  • Mechanical drafting and manufacturing experience essential: metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining detail, threads, and welding designations
  • 3D experience essential
  • Ability to apply engineering first principles such as stress analysis and analysis of materials and finishes

In addition, experience working with an ERP system is highly desirable, with SAP being preferred.
