Situated in the central location of Molendinar on the Gold Coast, and Yarrawonga in Darwin, The Building Connection specialises in supplying the commercial and industrial building industries across South-East Queensland and the Northern Territory.

The Opportunity

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an accomplished Sales Representative with demonstrated ability to successfully grow our customer base. We need a dynamic team player with the strength to build and maintain successful business relationships across the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas. As a Sales Representative, this is a pivotal role committed to maximum output and consistent high productivity.

The successful applicant will have minimum 2-3 years previous sales experience in a similar role, be results-driven, and needs to be a highly motivated, hardworking person, with a go getting attitude and be prepared to knock on numerous doors and cold call to building sites and factories throughout the area. They will be able to cope working under pressure, have intermediate computer skills and enjoy working in a team environment.

  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships to grow existing sales opportunities as well as creating new ones to achieve set targets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, peers and customers

  • Supportive and "can do" attitude
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment

You will possess a professional and proactive approach to your work with experience in supporting high performing teams. As a strong communicator and influencer you will have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the business and will be adept in negotiating and problem solving.
