Job Description

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a motivated and dynamic candidate to support early childhood services, schools, and communities in achieving improvement through partnerships and programs. As the Partnerships Facilitator, Early Childhood, you will be responsible for enabling services, schools, and communities to enhance engagement, participation, transitions, and wellbeing in the early years.

About the Role
  • Develop effective partnerships and support communities to implement place-based approaches that improve outcomes for children and families based on early childhood data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate early childhood initiatives to enhance regional performance.
Responsibilities Include
  • Implement early childhood initiatives focused on increasing participation and engagement of all children in development and learning pathways, ensuring quality transitions that lead to successful educational outcomes and wellbeing.
  • Access and analyze various information sources, including economic and demographic data, sector performance data, regional development plans, local government planning documents, and relevant research to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare project plans, reports, submissions, briefs, and correspondence to advise the Manager and ensure timely achievement of outcomes.
  • Identify local priorities, address emerging issues, and trends to build community capacity and improve performance for optimal outcomes for children.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance early years priorities.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of early childhood education and care principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop evidence-informed solutions.
  • Experience working in partnership with community groups, services, and organizations.
  • Ability to travel and work independently.
