About this Opportunity

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Psychologist to make a real and positive difference in the education of students and regional healthcare in Queensland.

As a Clinical Educator, you will support high-quality rural training experiences for undergraduate psychology students on placement within Darling Downs and South West Queensland across various settings.

You will be responsible for clinical education, direct supervision, and facilitation of interprofessional learning opportunities of students, as well as collaboration with healthcare providers, supervisors, and stakeholders to build student placement capacity and quality.

This is a clinical academic role offering a unique and rewarding opportunity to develop clinical teaching and research skills and participate in service and engagement activities within the university and wider professional community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Provide clinical supervision of students, best practice clinical and educational support to clinical supervisors, develop educational materials, facilitate interprofessional learning opportunities, and provide academic counselling.

  • Research: Maintain own expert knowledge and clinical skills, contribute to rural health research, publish and present research outcomes, and implement new clinical techniques.

  • Citizenship and Service: Develop and foster partnerships, engage in internal and external service roles, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
