Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager | Established WA Brand | FTC

Our client is an established West Australian business that has steadily grown over the last decade and services a specific market segment. They are a leader in their field and well-positioned to take advantage of current market conditions.

This role reports directly to an experienced finance lead, and you will need to draw on your experience to deliver the outcomes of this position.

The Role:

Assume responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

Ensure the preparation of the annual financial statements is compliant with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, consolidated balance sheet, cash flow and commentary

Oversee the lodgement of all statutory reporting and compliance matters

Manage taxation requirements, BAS, Payroll, Tax and Income Tax Returns

Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Coordination and support of quarterly and annual audits

Support internal payroll, accounts payable and receivable

Ensure the right controls and policies are in place and being followed

Improving efficiencies across the finance function

Ad hoc financial modelling, financial analysis and reporting as required by the business

Requirements

Suitably Qualified Accountant - CA/CPA

Technical accounting skills, a solidunderstanding of Australian Accounting Standards

Previous experience with job costing/project accounting will be highly regarded

Exceptional people and time management skills

Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels

Capable of working autonomously and managing competing priorities

Previous experience managing a high-performing finance team is essential for this role

Ability to lead from the front and support the team where required

Good work ethic and problem-solving skills
