Manufacturing Team Leader

Central Coast, Australia Rarekind Full time

Are you passionate about inspiring others and driven to lead teams to success?

We're seeking a manufacturing team leader who excels at empowering their teams, encouraging collaboration, and making a meaningful difference every day. If you take pride in guiding people, nurturing talent, and setting high standards, this is your chance to lead within a forward-thinking company where your leadership will have a lasting impact.

Our client builds high-spec modular bathroom pods. Not DIY jobs slapped together with silicon and hope — we're talking engineered, factory-built precision. They've been at it for over 25 years and are known for doing things properly. Quality, innovation, and consistency are kind of their thing.

They're growing, and fast. Which means they need leaders — real ones.

People who know how to build trust in a team, keep things moving, and solve problems before they become someone else's problem. People who get that leadership is more about example than authority.

The Role

You'll be leading a team of 5–10 people across a day shift in a key part of the manufacturing process. That could be concreting, tiling, steel fabrication, carpentry — depends where your skills align. But no matter the section, your goal's the same: keep standards high, output consistent, and the team engaged.

You won't be watching from the sidelines. This is hands-on. You'll be involved in planning workloads, managing quality, hitting KPIs, and lending a hand when things get tight.

You'll Be Doing Things Like:

  • Leading your team with clarity, energy, and purpose.
  • Scheduling and coordinating workflow — keeping production smooth.
  • Fixing problems without creating more.
  • Keeping quality tight and defects low.
  • Setting the tone on the floor — because culture starts with you.

Who You Are:
  • You've led teams before — ideally in manufacturing.
  • You don't need babysitting — you take ownership and move things forward.
  • You know how to get the best out of people (without barking orders).
  • You understand how to balance quality, safety, and speed.
  • You're practical, calm under pressure, and have a decent sense of humour.

The company culture? Supportive, quality-driven, and low on ego. They don't do drama. They do accountability, continuous improvement, and learning as a team. It's the kind of place where people take pride in their work and actually care about getting better.

If that sounds like your kind of leadership gig — we'd love to hear from you.
