Your Opportunity

Queensland Rail are currently seeking three analytically minded, data driven individuals to join our Rostering and Workforce Optimisation team as Master Roster Developer's on a permanent fulltime basis.

As Master Roster Developer, you will manage master roster designs across operational teams to achieve optimal utilisation that meets business and stakeholder requirements in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for those interested in driving efficiency and encouraging change through data analytics and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilising analytical workforce planning tools toproduce master rosters that are cost efficient and rule compliant.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance and optimisation of master rosters, ensuringcompliance with relevant enterprise agreement, fatigue, state/federallegislation and workplace health and safety rule sets.
• Ensure master rosters are designed with optimisation for special events, training programs and large-scale network SCAS closures.
• Support the implementation of master rosters, including ad hoc reporting, consultation and continuous improvement.
• Coach internal leaders on new rostering and encourage data driven decisions to influence efficiencies.
• Conduct user acceptance testing of in-service analytical workforce planning tools to ensure consistency of modelling outputs as well as capturing issues.

About You:

• Experience with using Power BI is essential
• Experience in master roster development is essential
• Experience working with in-service analytical workforce planning tools to support the development master rosters.
• High level of planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Substantial level of negotiation skills to enable the ongoing development of efficient master rosters.
• Substantial interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse range of stakeholders.
• Substantial level of skill in working in a positive team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting others in the achievement of team goals.
