Overview

Research Fellow in Molecular Biology/Genetic Engineering at University of Melbourne. This is a full-time, fixed-term role (12 months) in the School of Biosciences within the Faculty of Science.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research in reproductive biology using advanced genetic manipulation techniques, including CRISPR, to study endocrine disruptors and their impact on reproduction.
  • Lead collaborative research projects, oversee experimental design, and ensure timely completion of objectives.
  • Analyse data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present findings at scientific meetings and conferences.
  • Mentor and supervise students and junior researchers to foster a productive research environment.
Qualifications
  • PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in construct design and genetic manipulation techniques.
  • Experience maintaining multiple cell lines and conducting immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy.
  • Strong publication record and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
