Research Fellow in Molecular Biology/Genetic Engineering at University of Melbourne. This is a full-time, fixed-term role (12 months) in the School of Biosciences within the Faculty of Science.
Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in reproductive biology using advanced genetic manipulation techniques, including CRISPR, to study endocrine disruptors and their impact on reproduction.
- Lead collaborative research projects, oversee experimental design, and ensure timely completion of objectives.
- Analyse data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present findings at scientific meetings and conferences.
- Mentor and supervise students and junior researchers to foster a productive research environment.
- PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in construct design and genetic manipulation techniques.
- Experience maintaining multiple cell lines and conducting immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy.
- Strong publication record and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Salary range: A$85,555.00 to A$116,094.00 per year plus 17% super.
