OverviewOur Data Intelligence Team at Clayton Utz is at the forefront of innovation, recognised as one of the country's fastest-growing forensic, cyber, and data analytics practices. As an integral part of our broader Advisory, Risk & Regulation stream, the Data Intelligence practice collaborates with our legal practice groups to deliver a full suite of forensic technology services, including forensic accounting and investigations, data analytics, cyber security, and eDiscovery. We provide impactful solutions that make a real difference for our clients.
We're seeking a Senior Consultant to join our collaborative and high-performing Data Intelligence team in Sydney. This role will leverage your expertise in advanced data analytics and visualisation technology to deliver tailored solutions and support forensic investigations with meaningful outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop and refine analytical scripts in SQL and Python to address complex, real-world challenges.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to design bespoke data analytics solutions that drive results.
- Work with data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity through validation and transformation.
- Create innovative scripts using API integrations with cutting-edge tools like Relativity.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence by reviewing and refining code, sharing knowledge, and mentoring others.
- Present your work in clear, engaging ways that resonate with clients and colleagues alike.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including lawyers and other specialists, to deliver holistic solutions.
- Take ownership of your workload, meet key performance indicators, and grow your expertise in a supportive environment.
- 3+ years of experience in quantitative development or data analytics.
- A strong academic background in fields such as Computer Science, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with a passion for solving complex problems through data.
- A meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy and quality in your work.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver on multiple tasks.
- Outstanding communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships and positively influence clients and colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset, with a genuine desire to contribute to a supportive and inclusive team culture.
