The RoleResponsibilities
  • Advising on a wide range of legal matters including corporate governance, mining, employment, procurement, and compliance
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions, takeover activities and divestment transactions including conducting due diligence and preparing transaction documentation
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex legal agreements
  • Monitoring and assessing compliance with relevant legislation, ASX Listing Rules and regulatory developments
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote strong governance and risk management practices
  • Managing relationships with external legal advisors and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring alignment with the Company Code of Conduct, policies, and safety standards
  • Assisting with company secretarial activities
About You

You are a commercially astute and strategically minded Senior Legal Counsel with the ability to influence and engage meaningfully at all levels. You are proactive and solutions focused, with a calm and pragmatic approach. You bring:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially sound legal advice in a dynamic business environment
  • Significant demonstrated experience, ideally across both private practice and in house roles
  • Tertiary qualification in Law and admitted to practice in Western Australia
  • Strong working knowledge of the legal regime applicable to mining and exploration in Western Australia
  • Proven experience in M&A transactions, commercial negotiations, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience across corporate, commercial, employment, litigation and regulatory matters is desirable
