Greenwich & Co is a busy and dynamic accounting and business consulting firm located in West Perth. We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, well presented senior accountant to join our firm. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and pleasant, confident telephone manner are essential. Flexible working arrangement can be accommodated to attract the right candidate.

The Role

The role of Senior Accountant is to assist in the provision of tax, general accounting, and business services advice, and to develop and maintain client relationships. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

General accounting functions and tasks
Preparation of Financial Statements, including assistance with statutory accounts for clients' company and other financial reports on a consolidated basis
Preparation of Income Tax Returns
Self Managed Superannuation Fund preparation
Prepare Business Activity Statements
Prepare Ruling requests, refund requests, and administrative appeals relating to tax matters as required
Ensure clients compliance with all legal and ethical standards
Supervise Graduate Accountants and assist with queries
Project manage consulting jobs where required and provide hands on support
Manage workflow to ensure all deadlines are met
Ad hoc duties as required

The requirements

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:

Relevant tertiary accounting degree. CA or CPA qualified, or near completion

Process a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position
A professional disposition with strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multi-task
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Experience with MYOB AE Practice, Xero, BGL Simple Fund, and document manager software is desirable but not essential
