About the Position
An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a solicitor to join a successful and longstanding law firm.Reporting directly to the Principal and Practice Manager, you will work on a diverse range of Criminal, Family and Property Law matters. Working with a range of clients from diverse backgrounds, this role will challenge the successful applicant to provide high quality advice for clients.You will receive extensive in-house mentoring in a workplace which strives to create a supportive workplace climate and culture.
Key Selection Criteria:
- 1-2 years PAE in litigation (preferably exposure to criminal, family and property disputes) and hold a current practicing certificate;
- Sound knowledge of criminal law and family law is essential; Part IV and Probate would be beneficial;
- Court appearance experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a part of a team;
- Sound computer skills and ability to type own reports, court documents, letters and undertake data entry;
- Proven conflict resolution skills;
- Strong analytical and research skills;
- High attention to detail and excellent drafting skills; and
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
