Mane Consulting are exclusively working with a top ten international firm. We are assisting our client's highly regarded tax function across Manager, Assistant Manager and Senior Consulting opportunities. Our global client are looking to add to their teams in Sydney CBD or Parramatta due to recent client wins and organic growth of their existing client base.

Being led by ex big four partners who were keen to offer a more empathetic approach to both clients and employees this opportunity allows you to be a trusted advisory to brand name clients and work hand in hand with their tax functions to a mutually positive outcome.

About the role

Working alongside tax partners you will have responsibility for managing client briefs, assisting in the development of more junior members of the team, and building relationships directly with your client's stakeholders.
Other duties may include based on your experience:

  • Delivering and implementation tax advice (eg. tax structuring strategies)
  • Preparation and review of technical tax advice, reports
  • Problem solving including identify and implement tax effective capital management strategies
  • Preparation of M&A tax advice, due diligence reports and review of sale & purchase agreements
  • Prepare tax thought leadership presentations and media articles including delivery of internal and external tax presentations
  • Tax compliance including the review of income tax returns and tax effect accounting calculations
  • Identify client tax risks and apply global & local quality control processes and risk procedures
  • Supervise and mentor your tax team
  • CGT & losses, Fringe benefits tax
  • Provide commentary to Federal Treasury, Australian Taxation Office and the media on recent developments in taxation
  • Prepare and present tax technical papers to clients and other public practitioners
  • Undertake business development activities with partners to promote the brand and services

About you

  • You will be ready to take the next step of your career and move away from a compliance focused role
  • Have 5 plus years of corporate tax experience
  • Be CA or CPA qualified or equivalent alternatively CTA in process or completed
  • Role can be adapted should you be from an accounting or legal background
  • Be willing to learn from generous award winning partners on their brand name clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that can be utilised to enhance client relationships
  • You will be ambitious and ready to take on an above market salary and work with a prestigious firm with a global reputation.
