Exact Contracting are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join their remote civil construction and mining projects in the Northern Territory.

This role will be a site-based workshop position, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
  • Effectively managing resources to ensure achievement of maintenance schedules;
  • Driving operational efficiencies;
  • Providing effective leadership and supervision through on-the-ground presence, direction, guidance, and feedback to teams and individuals;
  • Inspiring and encouraging others towards goal achievement;
  • Conducting scheduled employee appraisals, and preparing corrective and development plans as necessary;
  • Resolving problems and conflicts within the crew;
  • Carrying out servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, fault finding, and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.

Role Requirements:

  • Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification;
  • Current driver's license;
  • Experience in supervisory/management roles;
  • Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment;
  • Experience maintaining Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear;
  • Solid understanding of mobile plant and crushing operations in civil/mining industries;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems (e.g., MEX);
  • Effective planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors;
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
  • Willingness to work in remote locations;
  • Hands-on approach.
