Overview

Payroll Officer role at Mayfield Childcare Limited, based in Hawthorn. This is a permanent part-time appointment, working 30 hours per week over 3 - 4 days, including Friday. Our Payroll & Finance team currently processes payroll for over 1,000 employees to ensure educators and support staff are paid accurately and on time, so they can focus on delivering high-quality care and education.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll end to end for over 1,000 employees, ensuring accurate and on-time payments to educators and support staff.
About You
  • Proven experience in performing end-to-end payroll cycles.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Strong payroll system knowledge (HR3 preferred but not essential).
  • Experience interpreting awards and National Employment Standards.
  • Excellent reporting abilities and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Honesty, punctuality, reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with stakeholders.
