Overview

Responsibilities
  • This position will assist with new hire orientation, student precepting, department education and quality improvement.
  • Provide Echo training and support, evaluating sonographer quality performance.
  • Formalizes sonographer orientation/training program.
  • Work with Medical Director for quality improvement of the echo program including lecture development and valve clinic review and records.
  • Maintaining ICAEL standards as well as the recertification process.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Current RDCS, RDMS or RCS.
  • Provide Echo training and support, evaluating sonographer quality performance.
  • Formalizes sonographer orientation/training program.
  • Communicates feedback respectfully, openly, honestly, and directly to patients and caregivers.
  • Facilitates trusting relationships with physicians, patients, and co-workers.
  • Serves as coach, mentor, and a positive role model.
  • Holds self and others accountable to the highest standards.
