You'll assess and underwrite complex risks while working closely with broker partners to meet evolving customer needs. This is a digitally enabled role where innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centricity are central to how we operate. You'll be part of a collaborative team contributing to Zurich's ambition to be Australia's leading digital insurer.
Responsibilities- Underwrite new and renewal Financial Lines business in line with Zurich's underwriting framework and delegated authority.
- Build and maintain strong broker and distribution partner relationships to support retention, growth, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Use digital tools and data analytics to assess risk and identify portfolio trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
- Contribute to process improvements and digital innovation in underwriting practices.
- Bring experience in underwriting—ideally within Financial Lines—or come from a broking background in this space and looking to transition into underwriting.
- Strong technical knowledge of risk assessment, pricing, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience using digital platforms and analytics to support underwriting decisions.
- Proven ability to manage broker relationships and negotiate tailored solutions.
- Effective collaboration across Claims, Product, and Risk Engineering teams.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- 5 weeks of annual leave for permanent staff through our Z leave initiative, plus 15 days of personal/carer's leave and Family Care (parental leave).
