This is a digitally enabled role where innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centricity are central to how we operate. You'll be part of a collaborative team contributing to Zurich's ambition to be Australia's leading digital insurer—leveraging technology, analytics, and market insights to drive growth and deliver exceptional service.

You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Underwrite new and renewal Financial Lines business in line with Zurich's underwriting framework and delegated authority.
  • Build and maintain strong broker and distribution partner relationships to support retention, growth, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Use digital tools and data analytics to assess risk and identify portfolio trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvements and digital innovation in underwriting practices.

Important to your success – let's grow together

We're seeking someone who brings a strong understanding of insurance operations and transformation, paired with exceptional interpersonal skills. You'll be confident engaging with brokers and stakeholders, translating complex underwriting decisions into clear, customer-focused solutions that build trust and long-term relationships.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

  • Bring experience in underwriting—ideally within Financial Lines—or come from a broking background in this space and looking to transition into underwriting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of risk assessment, pricing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience using digital platforms and analytics to support underwriting decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage broker relationships and negotiate tailored solutions.
