About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join and lead the stepping up of our Cultural Heritage team. As Cultural Heritage Coordinator, you will guide and inspire a dedicated team to deliver sensitive and compliant cultural heritage practices across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies, frameworks, and plans to guide the delivery of Cultural Heritage products and services.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of cultural heritage compliance systems across Seqwater.
  • Provide expert technical advice to Seqwater personnel on compliance matters relative to the capital and operational program activities which may impact upon Indigenous and non-Indigenous cultural heritage.
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with Traditional Owner groups and statutory authorities (State and Commonwealth) to establish working initiatives and agreements for compliance purposes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in archaeology, heritage management, heritage conservation, anthropology, or equivalent.
  • Significant demonstrated professional experience in a directly relevant position.
  • A high level of understanding and working knowledge of applicable legislation and heritage practice.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical advice in relation to non-Indigenous and Indigenous cultural heritage management.
