Improve Indigenous Relations
As a coordinator, you will play a vital role in implementing cultural heritage agreements and promoting Aboriginal Engagement. Your exceptional coordination skills will be pivotal in fostering relationships with Aboriginal groups within the Cooper Basin.

About the Role:
This dynamic position requires someone with excellent communication and prioritisation skills to support the implementation of the Aboriginal Engagement Strategy (AES) for Santos. You will develop and maintain positive working relationships with key Indigenous groups and relevant government and other external stakeholders. Your expertise in Indigenous-related issues and strategies will be essential in ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders on issues and actions related to cultural heritage management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of, and monitor the Aboriginal Engagement Strategy (AES).
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key Indigenous groups and relevant government and other external stakeholders.
- Act as the coordinator with native title claimants regarding land access, consents, cultural heritage, and other obligations in support of operational requirements.
- Work with relevant Indigenous communities to ensure the development of sustainable relationships between the company and the communities.
- Provide expert advice to the company on Indigenous-related issues and strategies.

About You:
We strongly encourage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants for this position. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Sound understanding of the history and culture of Aboriginal communities.
- Knowledge of current government policy frameworks as they relate to Indigenous peoples and particularly in relation to indigenous participation in the resources sector.
- Exceptional coordination skills and ability to prioritise tasks/requests/goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
- Robust experience working in a dynamic workplace while staying organised and positive.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office software.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
- Ability to travel to the Cooper Basin and spend nights away from the home base as required.

Sustainable Partnerships
The ideal candidate will have extensive negotiation and mediation skills and experience, particularly in matters involving industry and Aboriginal peoples. They will also have an existing network within the Aboriginal communities. Our goal is to create meaningful impact that honours cultural heritage and promotes collaborative progress.
