ABOUT THE ROLE
Operating across the inland regional areas of NSW our Business Development Manager works closely with the National Sales Manager, and State General Manager to grow and provide excellence in service to our existing and future client base with a strong focus on agricultural sector.
The purpose of this role is to increase revenue by generating and developing new business opportunities and being responsible for the relationship management of some of our most valued customers.
You will also be responsible for consistently achieving monthly revenue targets and margins within designated parameters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, focusing on the agricultural industries
- Expand the seller base across all sales streams
- Generate and manage leads to arrange client meetings
- Handle administrative tasks, including proposals, agreements, and reporting
- Negotiate business contracts and prepare client presentations
- Assess and value assets to determine job viability
- Build and maintain relationships through regular client visits and calls
- Respond to unsold item referrals post-auction
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 4 years in business development, preferably in agriculture or industrial equipment sales
- Strong industry knowledge, network, and experience in machinery, equipment, and heavy trucks; logistics experience is a plus
- Proven success in exceeding sales targets with a customer-focused approach
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with a proactive sales mentality
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Advanced MS Office skills; experience with Salesforce or other CRM system is an advantage
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel
- Successful candidate will need to undergo National Police check
