Overview

Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python/ React/ Typescript) role at Kogan.com. The software built with Python and TypeScript underpins www.kogan.com and is used by millions of customers. You will be a key member of a fast-paced, independent, ambitious team, contributing across the full tech stack and delivering production-ready software.

What you'll do
  • Hands-on coding on the product, delivery of new features and functionality, and providing support to bugs.
  • Work with other members at Kogan.com to architect, lead and deliver complex scalable software systems and promote best practices in quality, delivery, monitoring, architecture and algorithm design.
  • Break down assigned objectives into small and valuable deliverables / commitments to iteratively deliver into production.
  • Work in a mature AWS infrastructure environment that supports a high volume user-base.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-team to execute on technical and business strategy and build experiences that users will love.
  • Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. Review code and design docs, provide feedback on product specs and mocks.
  • Continuously learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities.
What you'll need
  • Proficiency in either Python/Django or React and a passion for full-stack development with strong software design patterns, testing, and clean code.
  • Experience across the Software Development Lifecycle—from idea generation to monitoring performance in production.
  • Strong quality focus, accountability, and pragmatic software delivery.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to develop strong relationships.
  • Conscientious, proactive, and able to monitor and address issues post-launch.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; agile and adaptable.
  • Result-oriented, with a track record of shipping software regularly.
