This is a modern, forward-thinking and growing insurance brokerage based in Melbourne's CBD, who are looking for a Strata Account Executive to join their team. The company is looking to hire an experienced account executive to deal with a book of strata work. This is a flexible role based in Melbourne's CBD, and is a great career progression opportunity for an Insurance Broker with strata experience.

Your new role

As a Strata Account Executive, you will be an integral part of a dynamic insurance broking team, managing a diverse portfolio of strata clients across residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. This role combines client relationship management, technical insurance knowledge, and strategic negotiation to deliver tailored strata insurance solutions. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage and retain a portfolio of strata schemes across various property types, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
• Develop and present customised insurance programs and renewal proposals that address the unique risks and compliance requirements of strata communities.
• Negotiate competitive terms with underwriters, leveraging your market knowledge to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
• Respond to client enquiries, providing expert guidance on policy coverage, endorsements, and claims processes.
• Support and coordinate claims management, acting as a liaison between clients, insurers, and loss adjusters to ensure timely resolution.
• Identify new business opportunities through referrals, networking with strata managers, and leveraging existing relationships.
• Ensure compliance with RG146, strata legislation, and internal governance standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Stay informed on strata insurance trends, legislative changes, and emerging risks affecting the strata sector.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including claims, underwriting, and support staff, to deliver seamless service and meet business objectives.
• Maintain Tier 1 qualifications and complete ongoing professional development to uphold industry standards and enhance your expertise.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered for this position, you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance broking, with at least 2 years of experience in strata.
• Ability to confidently manage a portfolio of strata renewals (70+ per month).
• Strong systems and software experience, with proven knowledge of broking platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to build strong internal and external relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Full, unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
