About the role

We are seeking Support Workers to service the Wagga Wagga area and surroundings. Your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients, including aged and high-needs clients, with activities of daily living and providing support services in their homes such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite, and Personal Care. We aim to deliver high-quality care that promotes clients' independence while living at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote client choice, positive routines, and meaningful activities in accordance with Calvary Home Care's Service Delivery Model.
  • Work shifts in set time blocks/pattern rostering.
  • Drive client and company vehicles as required.
  • Support clients proactively to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community.
  • Report changes in clients' health, care plans, or if additional services are needed.
  • Review communications via email, Support Worker Connect, and other methods to stay updated on policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Ensure your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • Protect client rights and confidentiality, maintaining dignity and privacy during care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of a minimum of Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care, or equivalent.
  • Current full driver's license.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR.
  • Reliable motor vehicle with valid registration and comprehensive third-party insurance.
  • Smart mobile device.
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS Clearance if not already held.
  • Police Clearance within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain one.
  • Access to the internet and experience with computers and applications.
  • A genuine desire to serve the community and work in a mission-driven organization.
