Your next career opportunity
As a Research Assistant for the ECOSYS (Empowering Caregivers Of Suicidal Youth through novel digital Solutions) project, you'll play a vital role in exploring innovative digital solutions to support caregivers of suicidal youth. You'll gain valuable experience in e-mental health technologies and youth suicide prevention, working directly with Dr Daniel Gan at Orygen, CYMH. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking intervention research and make a real difference in mental health outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Research Data Collection: Create and monitor online surveys using REDCap, conduct participant interviews, and assist with project development and ethics applications.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work effectively with University of Melbourne internal stakeholders and peak carer bodies to support the project.
  • Project Management: Organise meetings, maintain project records, and support project leads in establishing advisory groups.
  • Analyse and Report Findings: Collect and analyse data, draft reports, and contribute to papers for publication.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a dedicated professional with experience in mental health research or related fields, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with diverse stakeholders.

You may also:
  • Have demonstrated experience in designing and implementing research projects in mental health or related areas.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Have highly developed administrative skills for organising meetings and maintaining project records.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
