Job Description

In this rewarding role, you'll lead a small, dedicated team to deliver safe, reliable transport for residents with limited mobility, age-related needs, or frailty. You'll take ownership of service delivery — overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, and stepping in to drive when needed. With a strong focus on empathy and customer care, you'll help ensure each passenger experiences a journey that's not just safe, but also comfortable and welcoming.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead, support and motivate a close-knit transport team, fostering a positive culture and ensuring smooth, friendly service
  • Use your organisational and tech skills to manage bookings, rostering, and customer information — ideally with experience using Carelink+ or similar systems
  • Confidently assess passenger needs, coordinate services, and identify any risks, including through phone-based support
  • Step in as a driver when required, transporting up to 17 passengers and ensuring all journeys meet safety standards and are delivered with care

Desired Skills And Experience

What you'll need to thrive:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to engage confidently with our diverse community and team members over the phone and in person
  • Proficiency in Carelink+ rostering software and the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to adapt to new programs swiftly
  • Knowledge of bus operations and safety requirements, including the maintenance, servicing, and record-keeping essential for safe and reliable transport
  • Effective collaboration skills to work with the Fleet Coordinator and Community Support Coordinator, ensuring timely reporting of maintenance needs and compliance with the Bus Safety Act 2009 and accreditation standards
