About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Longwarry. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing maintenance strategies based on historical information and statutory requirements to ensure that equipment is maintained in the most cost-effective manner. The performance of our operation relies heavily on a well-managed Maintenance program. The role of the Maintenance Planner is therefore pivotal to the success of plant maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities include:
  1. Preparing plant maintenance tasks, schedules, and work instructions for all assets;
  2. Tracking plant maintenance schedules and work orders for all assets;
  3. Preparing maintenance department performance KPIs;
  4. Identifying trends and opportunities to improve asset reliability by analyzing manufacturing and engineering performance data;
  5. Planning and scheduling all day-to-day maintenance activities and resources utilizing SAP;
  6. Maintaining and continuously improving the SAP Plant Maintenance module;
  7. Coordinating with Production, Maintenance Fitters, Electricians, and External contractors to ensure effective resource utilization during routine and shutdown maintenance;
  8. Ensuring all documentation related to asset management is well organized and easily retrievable;
  9. Managing contractor supervision and management;
  10. Assisting the Maintenance Manager with capital projects and other departmental duties;
  11. Supporting stores management as needed.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Tertiary or trade qualifications (preferably in mechanical or electrical trades);
  2. Experience in reliability-focused maintenance within a manufacturing or process plant environment;
  3. Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures; and familiarity with computerized maintenance planning systems;
  4. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP);
  5. Ability to develop and implement improvement initiatives;
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  7. Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  8. Proficiency in Excel is mandatory;
  9. Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable but not essential.
