The opportunity:
AIA now has a fantastic opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our Technology team in either Melbourne or Sydney.

As the Enterprise Architect, you will deliver AIA's Technology Strategy and Enterprise Roadmap in alignment with strategic objectives. This role involves close collaboration with senior business leaders to ensure technology initiatives support and enable their strategic vision. You will also provide leadership and guidance to Solution Architects and development teams, ensuring that solution designs are consistent with enterprise architecture principles and long-term strategic direction.

To do this successfully:

• Analyse the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement

• Work with IT Vendor and Innovation managers to capture industry trends as well as current vendor roadmaps that will assist in the development of the Enterprise Roadmap

• Work with Project office to create the portfolio of projects, estimating and budgeting the portfolio of projects.

• Produce Enterprise architecture blueprint in conjunction with the other Enterprise Architects

• Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements; analysing industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise

• Liaise with all levels of the business and IT to identify areas of opportunity that require architecture support and produce requests for architecture work to develop the required architecture

• In conjunction with Head of Architecture, develop, communicate and maintain IT Architecture Governance processes, including document templates, charter and assessments.

• Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise
  
  

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Enterprise Architecture experience, ideally within the financial services or insurance industry

• Experience in managing technology, associated risks and working in partnership with consultants

• Experience in resource allocation, shaping priorities and managing different skills within a team

• Well-developed strategic and leadership skills

• Ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to business stakeholders
