Overview

School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Mid-Western Local Government Area - Mudgee

Responsibilities
  • Relieve at school crossing sites in the Mid-Western Local Government Area.
  • Manage shifts that may occur during school zones hours 8.00 to 9.30 AM and 2.30 to 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one hour per shift, Monday to Friday during the school term.
  • Be a visible, trusted presence around schools, contributing to road safety for children, parents, teachers and local motorists.
  • Provide a friendly, reliable presence in all weather and maintain effective communication to identify potential hazards.

  • You are community-minded and enjoy building relationships while contributing to safety.
  • You are reliable, prepared to show up for your community, and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • You communicate effectively and stay alert to potential dangers.
  • You are willing to obtain required checks and assessments (Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment). If you already have a Working with Children Check, that may speed up the process.
Offer and requirements

You will receive an hourly rate plus superannuation. All training, uniforms and equipment are provided. This is an on-site, in-person role.

  • This recruitment involves an overview of the timeline: our talent team will review applications and shortlist candidates by the week commencing 18 September 2025 for a quick 5–10 minute phone interview, followed by panel interviews.
  • If successful, you will proceed to pre-employment checks.

  • Applicants who pass the interview may be considered for a permanent part-time position if a vacancy arises.
  • A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part-time positions over the next 18 months.
