You will be joining a leading Australian insurance company as a Legal Counsel focusing on broad General Insurance focused work within an established and sociable legal team based in Sydney or Melbourne.

About The Company

About The Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Advise on insurance law, claims management, policy interpretation, and regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess business impact.
  • Support projects and operational initiatives with sound legal input.
  • Collaborate across the legal team and business to drive commercial outcomes.

About You

You have:
  • 3+ years PQE with current practising certificate and relevant legal qualifications
  • Strong experience in insurance law, and general insurance regulation.
  • Strong legal drafting, advisory and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and commercial approach.
